Decanted due to crumbled cork, but probably the best manner of presentation. Light and airy, with just present acid backbone balancing the sugars. Yes, everything seems in balance but nothing to cause fireworks. A very nice ending to our meal. Excellent.

Before writing this TN I reviewed my last TN on this wine and the notes are surprisingly consistent and similar. This is just a beautiful, well aged and mature German auslese level riesling that is a GREAT QPR wine. Time has been kind to this wine. Despite now being 20+ years old this wine has plenty of life left with proper cellaring. Lovely amber / deep dark yellow, good mouth feel, full bodied and off-dry with a very pleasant long lingering aftertaste. Aromatic floral off-dry nose of honeysuckle, warm peach and a hint of caramel / burnt sugar with an even slightly sweeter taste of primary flavors of peach, red apple and a hint of cooking spices. Highly recommend this wine.

Used a Durand cork remover and it needed it. Bottom third was soft. Golden in color, sweet apple on the nose. Not too sweet, medium acidity, pear and apple along with grapefruit citrus. Glycerin with floral notes. Better through the night. Good QPR for a nice, aged bottle. Should drink over the next couple years.

Cork in horrible shape, had to bore through it. Lots of crumbles in the remaining wine. My mistake thinking I could finesse it with a corkscrew...
Tasty, quite sweet but clearly subdued and mellowed, relatively light texture, lemonade, petroleum jelly, whipping cream.
