  Nose is more open than either of the Taltarni Old Block wines, with notes of blackberry, pencil shavings, pepper, basil, and bay leaf. Palate opens with rich, juicy fruit; well-structured tannins come through on the mid-palate, leading to a dry, grainy finish. Flavours of blackcurrant, blueberry, sambuca, pepper, bay leaf, graphite, and raspberry.
