Dark red. The nose has cherry and red fruit with hints of oak / tobacco.
On the palette theres a nice balance of fruit and tannins. This wine isn't terribly complex but for $8 there is no better mouth feel available. The balance of alcohol, acidity and tannins forms a roundness in your mouth that usually eludes wines that are double and triple the price. The finish is oak and vanilla with traces of plum.
If you like Cabernet, there currently is no better QPR than this wine, right now. Well done, Columbia Crest.

One of our "go to" every day red wines. This one consistently delivers at a wallet friendly price. A true rendition of what Washington State can do. For way under $10 we can get a fairly complex, interesting, balanced, complete red wine with just the right amount of oak, tannins, alcohol and fruit. A bit of brown spice with the strawberry, cherry and blueberry fruit. Smooth, satisfying mouth feel. Not big or necessarily concentrated, just competent.

Very easy to drink. Went really well with my steak dinner. Tried at Jacksons steakhouse.

Good value for money. Straightforward, even a little grapey. Soft tannins on the finish.
