This is an outstanding wine for the price point. Rioja Alta is my favorite wine region in Spain and Tempranillo is my favorite varietal. However, Spanish wine is very distinct and many people don't like it. This wine was light-medium bodied, yet rich in flavor. Fruity but not overly so. Cherry, raspberry, blackberry and perhaps a bit of strawberry even. Subtle hints of vanilla
