This is classic good honest Barbera, made as it should be, not tried to over do it. Bright sweet red and sour cherry. Delicious mid weight, easy drinking. Fresh enough to go with food, medium tannin. In a great spot right now and will last another 5 years.

My reaction to this wine is the same as it was on the previous vintage tried. I'll cut and paste: The first hit of the nose was weird; lasagne with lots of sausage and meat in it. (Crazy, I know.) Background of fruit: blueberry, blackberry; along with a bit of sage and oregano (which is probably where that "Italian food" aroma comes from). Delightful richness as it flows over the tongue; the flavors on the palate echo the nose with the addition of strawberry, and it's wonderfully complex and truly delightful. I really enjoy the Palladino Barbera d'Alba Superiore, and while this is a good $10 or so more expensive, it's probably $20 or $30 worth of improved complexity and enjoyment. Outstanding.

Nez de fruits rouges quelques tannins un peu d'elevage. Tres raffraichissant. Assez bien.
