  • not originally a fan of white wine, i learned to drink it after finding out that french chardonnay is way better than california version. this is another one of those french chardonnays that not only a red wine drinker like me enjoys but also my white wine drinking friends. i am even tempted to possibly try the pricier versions from this maker. after all i have liked a nice puligny montrachet.

well it is hard to predict from reviews here, i.e. this $27 wine rates 89-90 and the $100 version rates 91-93. is that a big difference in enjoyment? as usual, price is an exponential function of quality.i'll probably stick with puligny montrachet at the high end.

  • Pascal Bouchard, Chablis, Le Classique 2015: This Chardonnay is bright yellow in color. On the nose, some green apple peels, earthy minerals and lemon. Light to medium-bodied, with on the palate green apple, white peach, a hint of pineapple as well as some light minerals. Medium-plus acidity with some citrus pith and a touch of nuttiness on the moderately long finish. 13% Abv.
