Floored at how different this tasted after holding a bottle for nearly a year in the cellar. Light golden color. Apple, grapefruit, some grass and a slight floral note on the nose. The bracing tartness and cheek-stinging astringency from last year has mellowed, and left is a delicious, balanced wine with succulent green apple, citrus, wet stone, a little bit of metal, and hay. Silky mouthfeel. Just lovely. Was expecting the worst, but this is tasting unbelievably good at this point in time for an $8 wine.

An inexpensive Sauvignon Blanc from Spain. Big, tart, green apple, with a finish that goes on and on. Fun and zingy, totally drinkable on its own as well as with food. Pucker up and enjoy.
