Ruby with a hint of salmon color on the edges, moderately translucent. Nose of bright red maraschino cherry, well balanced by an earthy, dusty, forest floor and mushroom profile. Palate is similar, a bit brighter than the nose with medium plus acid, fruit forward, red fruit, cherry and cranberry, red licorice, but balanced by earthy depth, medium plus body, medium light fine tannins. Really enjoyable value. 90-91.

Earthy, fungal, silky. Fruit still bright--black cherry, red raspberry, a tad acidic. Pronounced black pepper spice. Finish a bit short. This was a first for me, an aged, unblended Mouvedre. A pleasant and interesting wine. I'll look for more examples of something like this.

Opens like a Syrah. Spicy, green peppers, pepper. After it sits in the glass for awhile it develops a berry jam or pie filling taste. It goes from hot to sweet.

Very rich jammy flavor with a dark berry twist. Very good value for the money.
