First glass while cooking was uneventful. 15/20 minutes later and it started to show itself. Upfront aromas of dark cherries and plums with notes of vanilla and some lovely spice adding to the intricacies. On the palate it's still quite bright - darker fruits more bramble with spice and aniseed..maybe a touch too much oak tannin on the finish, but overall, a very enjoyable wine. Drinking well now, but still has a lot of life left in it.
