Pale, weak rim; striking pepperiness, violets; crystalline, expansive; plenty of character on a driven finish. Very long. Can be drunk now or left for a couple of years.

medium bright red color, ripe and slightly buttery Pinot nose, red berries, bright and vibrant, hints of dark spices, on the palate a very pretty and open wine, slight hint of oak, suggestions of minerals and bramble on the tail end, this seems very much open and ready to drink- but given the longevity of the Chardonnay from this same vineyard and producer I have to wonder if this too might show even more in time despite seeming so ready now, either way a most alluring selection and worth having on hand to enjoy without worry as to whether it is "ready"- I don't know how it might evolve, but it is lovely and will remain in that state for many years I think. ***, ready to go.

Consistent to previous bottle. Drinking well, currently.
