    Opened one hour in advance. Aromas of cassis, menthol. Rich black fruit flavors with tarry notes. Cherry fruit dominates the finish. This is Chianti from central casting. Hits all the right notes, doesn't hit any of the wrong ones, but lacks some of the leathery, earthy, or other elements that add complexity and can turn it into a star.

    Very good wine, decent value.
