Nice nose of citrus and salty seashell, bit if cured lemon peel. The ripeness of the vintage is evident on the palate, but it balances weight and fresh fruit really nicely.
There is a more tropical personality here, but the minerally brine underneath is quite nice. These may drinker earlier as the acid just is not front and center on this 2015.

Classically Chablis on the nose with citrus and marine, showing the ripeness of the vintage more on the palate which seems surprisingly low acid. Nice, but the lack of acid is a little bit of a problem given how full-figured this is.

Light gold. An attractive Chablis-specific bouquet - from a warmer vintage - of pear, pineapple, lemon zest, baking spice and chalky limestone. In the mouth, open and relatively fruit forward. Rich and ripe white and yellow orchard fruit. Rounded and softened, with no hard edges. Together, with a seamless texture. However, sufficient Chablis typicity. Underpinned by rocky minerality and a touch of salinity. Honey comb, pear, grapefruit and yellow apple. Real fruit depth and concentration. Moderate alcohol (12.5% ABV). Relatively long, finishing dry with some apricot kernel bitterness. The 2015 Vaulorent should drink well, in this style, until 2032+.

Oops -- opened by accident. Meant to keep this bottle a year or two longer. Anyway...a beautiful pale, reflective yellow in the glass. A muted nose with citrus highlights. Not quite as round and balanced as I would like. Sour apples and a tart finish.

Pale lemon
Chablis nose showing that special minerality, chalk, lovely white flowers, restrained fruits..lemon, lime, citrus
Palate is mineral driven with restrained fruit here as well..great attack and an oily, mouth filling finish
Fantastic masculine Vaulorent
