Colour: Medium to dark brown, quite opaque. Wide, very slight goldish, rim.
Nose: Very beautiful right off the bat. Orange peels, honey, apricots, pineapple, and some minerality. Quite complex.
Palate: It is actually quite similar to the nose - citrusy with orange peels, apricots, espresso, and is balanced by the acidity. Very smooth, slight bittery yet very pleasant finish.

I had the privilege of trying this rare bottle at the winery, and it turned out to be very special indeed. The color is a medium brown with slight notes of gold on the rim. Much darker than I would have expected given only 16 years (Sauternes, for example, would still be golden yellow). The nose was super complex as you’d imagine: marzipan, hazelnuts, orange peel, all held together by a medium level of viscosity and still-present acidity that all lingered beautifully on the palate. Notes of apricot and espresso rounded out the incredibly long finish. Not exported (as far as I can tell) and incredibly expensive in domestic market but a huge treat for fans of this genre.
