  • Decanted an hour. Consumed during the evening.
Wouldn't call it young, but the longer you can stand decanting this the better. Bramble and oak. Raspberry and vanilla. Early mountain morning, dew and fog lifting. Continues nicely on the palate. Bluer fruit. Acidity that keeps everything on the tracks. Tannin a little aggressive early in the evening. Solved with patience. This is a dang good blend from a talented winemaker. Mt. Veeder is a magical place and Cuvaison has done a great job with this one. Forget the allowance delta for alcohol percentage, but I'll eat my boots if this is actually 14.5. Not a complaint. You know from my reviews I prefer something a little lower. But, I like this a lot. And I'd tell you if I didn't. This is darn good.

  • Plum and currant. Structured with acidic spine. Not a deep wine , but there’s good substance and character and a certain easy lightness.

  • Give a two hour decant-very bright and balanced. Nose with fruit and mount Veeder characteristics of sweet cherry and minerals with spring flowers. Big tannic palate that starts with fruity berries and goes to complex earthy seed fruits of plums. A long finish of black tea and cigar mahogany.
