Taste: Medium bodied with medium+ acidity and medium+ tannins. The tannins are slightly coarse and green, but there is a liveliness to the feel with crunchy red fruits, red cherries, strawberries, and some red florals.
Overall: This is a lovely Rosso di Montalcino on its own, but within the context of the vintage it really is lovely. It is friendly and forward, but with good depth and personality.

Montalcino Trip- Day 2 (Stella Di Campalto, Cappana, Collosorbo) (Montalcino, Tuscany, Italy): Nose: There is a friendly vibrancy to the nose with crunchy red fruits, red cherries, spice tones, strawberries, and red florals. There is a real nice perfume to this, though it is lacking some depth.
