Dr. Bürklin-Wolf Tasting: Light orange colour, far lighter than the 2007. This is truly amazing stuff. Insane sweetness coupled with massive acidity. The age this wine has gives it such elegance and balance. Tied with the Forster Pechstein GC, this was my favorite of the evening.

Bürklin-Wolf at Bibou! (Bibou, Philadelphia): a real treat, carried by Annette Siegrist from Germany. ripe peach, sultana, quince. so much acid that it is almost not sweet on the attack, but then there is a great wallop of sweetness following. insane acidity. nice finish.

Burklin-Wolf With Annette Siegrist (Bibou (1009 S 8th St., Philadelphia, PA 19147)): Oh my. Just an incredible expression here. Still so young. Orange-ish color. Well balanced sweetness. Apricot, sweet baking spice, nip of smoke. Toffee and honeycomb hints. Neverending type finish. Excellent.
