  • Flint / struck match but restrained. More subtle than the 2020. Cream / butter more obvious than in the 20202.

  • Exceptional Oz chardonnay just starting its journey into maturity. A previous bottle a couple of years ago was very good, but the fruit seem constrained and the acidity was at the forefront. Like a cool year chablis. That fruit has now come out from the structure and now beautifully balances the lovely crystalline acidity. As well the oak has just about integrated into the wine, giving a lovely spicy vanillan touch to both the white peach nose and palate. Expect it to hit its height in a couple more years if cellared well.

  • A superb Chardonnay now that will definitely improve with age. Pretty restrained nose of smoke and citrus, grapefruit. On the palate, floral, pithy grapefruit and pomelo. Quite a bit of oak here but well integrated. Not even a hint of popcorn.

Day 2: all of the above but better. Oaks features a little less.

  • Fine, developing, lemony nose. Restrained richness.
Rich yet restrained, lemony flavours. Showing some bottle devt. Good but not great length. Beautifully made. Excellent acid structure. Will continue to evolve.

  • Pale Green Straw in colour with a watery rim at March 2018. nice
A totally different style we have in this wine release , On the nose we have Nectarine , Pear an stone fruits showing with nice barrel ferment characters with nice tight new oak showing. nice a little leaner than excepted tho.
On the palate we have sweet ripe fruit , rich mid palate , acid is balanced compared to 2013 release but still there. V/Good wine more elegant than excepted tho due the vintage an other wines in the area. QPR $50 is only ave . Drinking well now as its more elegant an picked a little early for certain compared to its peers. Good food wine again with fresh syd oysters for certain.
