One of many terrific consistent vintages of this wine. Maybe not the most profound, but I love the juicy red apple nose and the perfectly poised palate where neither acidity nor sweetness is prominent. Always drinks well young but no lack of freshness here either.

Fresh and preserved lemon wafting from the glass, and honeysuckle. None of that electricity on the tongue you get with some Mosel examples but still a nice Riesling pucker. More floral (sweet meadow flower) than citrus. Not particularly concentrated but makes up for it in length, ending back up on those honeysuckle notes. Not a showy wine; subtle but nice.

Lemon and honeysuckle, lovely bright acidity.
