Another pinot noir mutation, the 2004 Giradet Baco Noir is pleasant if not outstanding. This wine is dark but shows only the slightest hint of tannin. Black cherry and a hint of pinot funk are the primary aromatics on this wine. In the mouth, more dark fruit and a bit of animal that I might otherwise expect from a syrah. A decent wine, but not in the pinot noir arena if that is what you are looking for.

Aged very well. Nose is muted. In the moth smooth dark fruits predominate. Tannins are very soft and hardly noticeable.
