Dark yellow/gold color. Immediate nose of oak with butter, straw, and extra ripe pineapple. Big, round flavor, but does have an astringency from the oak (I presume). Had next to a Morey chassagne montrachet from same vintage on mother's day. Wife preferred the TOR, while I drank the burgundy and we were both happy.

Aromas of apple, pear, toast, lemon zest and spice. Apple, tropical fruit, lemon, vanilla and spice on the palate. Long finish. Good acidic balance. Served with baked potato soup.
