  • Delicate aromas of raspberry with wisps of violet and mineral. a beautiful attack of pure pinot energy following cleanly through a lifting mid-palate of cherries to a lean but energizing finish without impressive length but with a clean and palate cleansing end. Lean but aromatic all in red fruit and acidity. Nothing here is exceptional but the purity and balance of the experience merits the score. Pure Chambolle. This was all the more fun in that it was tasted with the 2002 P. Rion Vosne and this really gave a wonderful sense of both terroirs. Very representative.

  • Tasted unblinded at the Vintage Wines, Ltd. wine bar. Bright disc. Light-to-medium ruby robe with pink rim. Clean nose, showing moderately intense aromas of earth, spice and raspberry. Light to medium-bodied on the palate, with tart acidity and medium dry tannins. Medium, tart and dry finish. One's wine dollar can go farther than this offering.
