Tried this about a year and a half ago, and wasn’t that fond of it. Ended-up with another bottle of it for some reason or other, and my feelings about it have not really shifted... The nose still has nothing intriguing to offer, and the palate is still muddled and lacking in complexity. I forgive most of that given its price point, and it’s not unenjoyable to drink regardless.

Soft and balanced and very evolved. Very amorphous and unassuming in a pleasant way. Somewhat of a good B movie, nothing distinctive but quite enjoyable and depending on having a nice date (or meal) to watch it (consume it) with. Can't imagine this aging too many years more, it was on the wine list at $45, so I assume the distributor is moving it out on deal ($25 shelf would be at least 60-65 list normally). We finished the bottle easily.

The palate on this Ripasso doesn't quite live-up to the lovely nose. A little thin and muddled and lacking in complexity, it was nonetheless not unpleasant, just had higher expectations for the price I suppose. Probably would not have it again.

Lots of raspberry. Some butteriness. Decent but heavy and fruity.
