Confected palate; jam/blackberry/plum; despite this it’s actually dry on the palate – in fact a bit dusty, with medium powder tannins and medium acidity. But the flavours have a raisins quality to them, and this lack of freshness also cuts the finish to short of medium length. Not hot on the palate, but a bit unbalanced anyway.

Strawberry, plum, licorice. Acidity has quieted down slightly (more balanced). Hint of smoke. Paired decently well with pepperoni pizza.
