  • Starting a bite nervous and eddy, but on day two the wine was quite brilliant with a very fresh bouquet (white fruit, little flowers) and a very balanced taste, a bit oily and an elegant fresh backbone ending with superb bitters. The combination if the Rolle grape with some Semillon is a perfect marriage.

  • If the Rolle gives the impression of ripe rocks and purity and a tiny bit of Semillon gives a smooth taste than you have a very elegant wine with a superb persistance and with a long aftertaste with refreshing bitters. With an extra year in the bottle the complexity has gained. This is really very good.

  • A crystalline, very pure and balanced wine with very good expression of the rolle (appr. 90%) and some semillon. A midtaste with a bit of glycerine and a finish with lovely bitters.

  • See my previous note and I add that the light bitterness (the Rolle) gives this wine an extra dimension. The wine did very well with ravioli (stuffed with spinach and ricotta), wild salmon, mushrooms and tomatoes.

  • I'm a fan of this wine, but I'll try to be objective! Lovely fresh bouquet with a hint of opulence (but no sweetness) followed by a taste with ripeness, some glycerine and spices (rolle) completed by the smoothness of the semillon grape; overall impression: elegance & persistence
