No notes taken. Opened at a big party which was a bit of a waste as nobody let it breathe and appreciate it. From memory it was fairly light and earthy and was unremarkable, but it was possibly affected by the lack of time for it to breathe.

See notes from Dec 31 2016. Edge now paling, fruit also a bit less. Otherwise what we said still applies, except that we would drink remaining bottles soon. But still a very elegant wine!

Tasted blind. Right in the glass it is clear to everybody around the table that this is an old wine. Light red towards orange, clear and pale color. The nose has lots of secondary and tertiary aromas with ripe and dried fruits, forest floor, mushroom and moss. Many around the table called this wine over the top, and I tend to agree a bit, but not completely. There is plenty of joy and wonderful mature Burgundy juice to experience in this bottle yet. I would drink up though. This one is not going to last. Still, impressive concentration and complexity.

Cork in good shape, quarter-stained. A nice aged burgundy, like Tusslus I got some nice dried fruits, boullion, but instead of mushroom there were some soy and mineral note. Pleasant and pretty elegant, though unremarkable and thus a bit disappointing given the pedigree. A good time to drink now.

Some bouillon, blood, mushrooms and potpourri.
Soft and broad initially but builds intensity and fills the mouth.
With air it gets dried fruits notes and the bouillon shifts more in the directon of various fresh mushrooms.
A pleasant wine, but not one that I'd age for much longer.
Will be awesome with roast chicken with a simple jús.
