{winery visit} Served after a lovely meal on the terrace overlooking the vineyards @Casa_Emma, this was the perfect foil to the house-made cantucci. Bottled in January 2016, this has yet to fully settle in to its skin. The blend of 40% Trebbiano and 60% Malvasia Bianca come from vines averaging 30 years. It's perfectly delicious now, sure, but it's got some miles to go before all of that complexity that comes with nearly 9 years of rest in a closed (never opened, not even to top off) caratelli and barrique. Glides down the palate, very fresh and fun. 15,0% abv., drink now thru 2035. recommended+
