This is a great "educational" wine; the characteristics of each of the three varietals are on full display and easy to discern. This is a great example of the versatility and depth of a GSM.
Tannic backbone suggests a few more years before this will peak. Very drinkable now, hitting full stride about an hour after opening. Good fruit and spice blend, with hints of herbaceous underpinnings, making it a food friendly wine (no surprise coming from Caliza) across a variety of flavor profiles.
An inviting deep purple, viscous mouthfeel, and lovely flavor on its own, but definitely enhanced by food.
Could drink now, but very curious to see what happens in 2 years.

Day 3 after decanting and vac sealing each night: should have made notes earlier. Today this is all mild pepper and huge barrel notes (vanilla, cedar, clove). First day there was plenty of luscious red fruit.

PNP, drank over 2 nights. Rich, attractive aromatics of red fruit: strawberries and cherries prominent. Smooth texture, long finish. Very nice.
