Opened and paired with leftover salmon and mixed veggies. Violet- crimson color. Nose brings fresh cherry blossoms, sprint violets, grape hard candy, and potpourri. The palate is medium, round, juicy, and textured, bringing a good core of black fruit with scattered notes of cherries and raspberries. The finish is refined, tangy, and smooth. Drink 2021-2026. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 92.

This wine is very solid. Richness and purity one would associate with typical Sta. Rita Hills pinot. Bright bing cherry profile. Mostly primary right now. Very tight upon opening, improved with each sip in the glass over the course of about 3 hours. Even better on day 2. This was probably opened too young. Not hot, flabby or cloying. Very well constructed wine. I can see this hitting its stride in more of a 2018-2022 window. However, highly drinkable with about a 1-3 hour decant. Highly recommended.
