I love a good Chardonnay and thought this is nothing spectacular, it's very good for the price. Nose is a bit stringent, smells of melon and a hint of oak and butter. This is not one of those California butter bombs, it leans more toward the middle of the spectrum with notes of stone fruit and mineral. The mouthfeel is light and airy, I tasted honey and green melon. I paired this up with some smoked fish and it worked very well.

Not shy on oak and ripe, but there's solid chardonnay varietal character here with reasonable balance.
