This is a great everyday wine from ancient lands, declared in 1716 by Cosima III de Medici as best land for wine and olives. The pedigree is definitely there. This wine is fresh and juicy, but it still has the Toscan aroma of light sweet smoke and olive tapenade, with black and red cherries. The taste is young, juicy, fruity, balanced with grippy tannins. Medium body. Bitter sweet finish. Great value.

Decent. Tad too acidic for me.

Consistent notes, fantastic every day Sangiovese with real sense of place. Aging gracefully, no need to rush.
