Purchased this bottle in Dec 2016 and cellared patiently for 5 years. Finally opened Xmas 2021 and so glad I waited. Outstanding QPR for a $15 bottle. This wine has good structure, still rich with fruit (cherry, strawberry), good acidity for food, and beautiful oak integration (reveals beautifully on the nose and palette after a 90 minute decant). Enjoyed with homemade spaghetti and meatballs in a rich slow cooked tomato sauce and the wine held up beautifully against the intense herbaceous flavors. Portuguese table dry wines offer some tremendous value. Still some tannin left so should drink well for another year or 2. In it’s peak right now.

This was a gift bottle so knew nothing about it. Didn't decant this bottle but it improved greatly on day two and especially day three. I would have rated it 84/88/92 on the three days. At it's peak it was full bodied with black fruit and plum, cracked pepper and a hint of licorice. Long finish. I am guessing this will improve with a few years in the wine cellar.

Really beautiful floral aromas upon opening that dissipate over time.
