Very excellent and sadly under appreciated (not imported anymore?). I have another. Lots of life left. Elegant but not ethereal like the much more famous wine from another bottler of this site *coughEGON-cough, cough*

This was really singing. Brilliant yellow flowers, nectarine, slaty soil earth, and sunshine coming through. Youthful now and in a great spot. Wonderful mouth feel and length. Exciting wine!

Tried one out of curiosity. Mean big vintage for the late harvest wines. Lots of stuffing, and good for a cellar nap. Enjoyed over two days. Proper reductive on day one, didn't show much. Day 2, great fruit. Peaches all over, creaminess, juicy acidity, and some hefty palate weight. Will decant next time, or give it some time. Drink or hold. Screaming value for $19 on closeout.

This was supposed to be part of the RieslingKenner Scharzhofberger deep dive tasting, but it arrived too late. It showed peach, spiced apples, and salty slate soaked in piquant peach nectar. Notes of herbs, orchard fruit, and petrol on the nose. It clearly spoke the same language as the others in our tasting and was a worthy representative of this famous vineyard.
