  Visting my notes from last tasting of this, some 3½ years ago, I see that I wrote that it had ripe blackberries in the nose (yes, still), and ripe sweet cherry (yes, still have). The ripeness of the fruit that I hoped by now would have integrated nicely with the minerality and acidity unfortunately still is here and not in balance with the minerality side of the equation. This to me is a wine that have most of the components, but in the end, it doesn’t really match up. Last time I asset it for 93P (tasting in august 2020), this time, of cause expecting somewhat more due to better maturity, I sadly would say maximum 90P.
  p.s.: I see that I in the previous note wrote “This wine will for sure develop nicely in the cellar”. I think I was wrong, but still will hold the remaining bottles for 3-5 years to see what will happen.

  VDS 2-70-3. Domaine Georges Noellat, Vosne Romanee 1er Les Beaux-Monts 2015
  
  * France > Bourgogne > Vosne Romanee > 1er Les Beaux-Monts
  * Pinot Noir 100%
  
  애증의 Georges Noellat... 젊은 나이에 도멘을 물려받아 2012빈티지가 대박 나면서 해성처럼 등장.
  2014 빈티지까지 좋은 반응이였으나 왠지 모르지만 외면 받았다. 평론가 점수는 꾸준히 좋은데 시장에선 싸늘하다.
  내가 마지막으로 집중 테이스팅 했던 2020년 3월의 느낌은 '팔렛은 좋은데 노즈가 잘 못받쳐 준다' 였다.
  (20년 3월 리스트 : 그랑에세죠 2014, 오부도 2014, 레보몽 2013)
  그러다 보니 나도 찾아 마시지 않게 되었다.
  
  하지만 오랜만에 마셔본 레보몽 2015는 정말 좋다.
  하늘하늘하게 피어오르는 붉은과실, 산딸기, 허브, 버섯, 삼나무, 야생화(들꽃), 희미한 장미에 과하지 않게 잘 반영된 오크, 미네랄리티.
  팔렛에서도 가볍고 산뜻하게 느껴지는 산미와 탄닌의 조화가 아름답다. 거기에 약간의 오크와 줄기에서오는 에너지와 파워까지 겸비한 아주 수준높은 와인이라 느껴졌다.
  지금도 좋지만 좀더 숙성시키면 장미향이 노즈 전반을 아우르면서 더 풍성하고 화려해 질 것 같다.
  베리에서 오는 에너지가 참 인상적이다.
  
  개인적인 생각으로는 요즘 많이 사랑받는 Hole Cluster 대비 De-stem이 직관적인 복합미가 약하게 느껴질 수 있다 보니 외면 받는게 아닌가 한다.
  하지만 어설프게 Hole Cluster 하는 생산자보다 이렇게 에너지 넘치는 De-Stem이라면 Why Not?
  덕분에 상대적으로 아직은 좋은 가격에 형성되어 있고, 해평가 기준이라면 충분히 가격 이상의 퍼포먼스를 보여줄 수 있는 생산자라 생각한다.

  Very delicious and inviting nose with ripe blackberries and ripe, sweet cherry. Some soil and minerality as well. On the palate a gracious concentration of fruit with cherry and some notes of prunes. Touch of vanilla sweetness from the new oak used. A superb balance of acidity, this young age taken into consideration. Medium/long finish with a touch of forest soil and stony minerality. On the 2nd day a “yummier” concentration of sweet and ripe fruit. This wine will for sure develop nicely in the cellar. I will try to wait 3-4 years before revisiting. I like this a lot. 92-94P

  Spice, violets, candied fruit and stems on the nose. Palate was ripe and juicy with abundant acidity. Flirtatiously delicious. Still wide open but likely to shut down soon. Impressed by this G Noellat as I normally dont find his wine particularly interesting.
