Hunter Valley - 4 Cellar Doors (Hunter Valley): {screwcap, 13.5%, $40} 20% Touriga tops out Hunter shiraz and I assume is responsible for the malty character that dominates the nose of this. There are spicy fruits and chocolate on the palate too, with medium dusty tannins, medium acid, subtle oak, and an earthy texture to the medium length finish. Tidy wine; suspect for the shorter term though.
