After 26yrs this wine is still as fresh. Color is still bright red with a tinge of amber at the edge. Nose is a bit muted but opened up slowly after some coaxing. Nice sweet berry taste and gd balance. The tannin has soften and the wine has fully integrated with the oak. A very good wine. Glad to have kept it for so long. This is a gd testament to the longevity of good Shiraz.

Still quite fresh and almost primary with red and dark berries on the nose and palate. No rush to consume but not sure what upside there might be from here.

Drank with friends along with several other old and outstanding wines. This was WOTN - with plenty of fruit in balance and a nice long finish. Wine was properly cellared and held up for 20 years quite well. Looking forward to the 98 still in the cellar.

In spite of a hard dry cork the wine is dark red, fresh, quite youthful for its 19 years. Fair degree of added acid evident on the nose, and the palate – Australian shiraz is made better today, fresher, less added acid and less oak. Nevertheless this is a fun wine, it's varietal with blackberry tone which pretty good for a warm climate shiraz. Sweet but not too sweet. Even has some tannin.
Reminds me that I don't have enough old Australian shiraz in my cellar. If you have cellared this wine then you've been rewarded.
14%ABV.

Wow, this wine is 19 years old? Color is still impenetrable and inky with a red edge. Not even a hint of brown. Nose has concentrated, dark berries and some subtle vanilla from the American oak. Palate is big and well rounded with more dark fruits and vanilla. Tannins are still clearly present, but toned down from when I last tasted this last century. Sadly my last bottle, need to buy more and wait another 20 years!
