Brilliant light straw appearance, med viscosity (less than expected from a 14%). Nose somewhat complex, not the warm climate notes I was expecting, instead lots of honeysuckle, anise, white pepper, lime, almonds though peach & apricot notes made a fleeting flyby as the wine warmed. Med plus oily body, impressive acidity for a Vio, the heat felt mostly on the long and lingering finish. Flavors of tart nectarine and apricot (there ya go...), salinity, flint, pepper and tangerine. This wine could just as well be enjoyed during winter with a nice chicken roast or even oriental type cuisine. Squeezing out a Viognier from that southern terroir is impressive.

Close to previous note. Medium to fool body, greenish golden color. Dominant stone fruits and flowers aroma. Ripe apples, citrus notes palate and continues to grassy finish. Rich and replete, complex, gentle acidity. Food friendly, best match is fishes or salads. Serve 12º - 14º. Open quarter hour in advance. Drink now.
