  • 100% Chardonnay from Oger Grand Cru, with a dosage of 4,5 g/l. About 3,000 bottles produced. Medium yellow gold. Floral notes, citrus, apple, ginger, chamomile, biscuit, bread crust, brioche, smoke, chalk, and salty minerality, with great acidity, and superb length. The mousse is fine and creamy, if still a tad too aggressive. Consistent over a period of three days. Not quite ready yet. I would hold for another three or four years. 92(+)

  • Three years later, a wide spectrum of fruit - fresh, crisp, ripe and stewed. Yeast, floral and whipped cream notes too. Long finish. Complex and complete. Well balanced with a strong backbone of minerality and acidity. Showing signs of maturity.

Drink or hold, but drink soon if you prefer a fresher fruit profile. However, I got this bottle from WineBid so who knows how it was stored before me.

  • Happy with this purchase. Drinking well now but would wait a couple more years for some more complexity. Nice and zippy with tart fruit right now.

  • (Disgorged in Nov 2016, 100% Chardonnay from Oger, dosage 4.5 gr/L)
Youthful nose showing lime citrus flowers, minerals and some orange zest and some fresh pastry. Lovely intense lime juice acidity on the youthful palate with a spiciness and an intense citrus bitterness on the finish and the saltiness showing on the lips is just the perfect touch. The village character is really showing off with its minerals intensity on the palate in this cuvée, excellent!

  • Electric nose that will gain fullness and fullness when aired with aromas of citrus fruits and fresh pastry.

Discreet effervescence, I would say “well calibrated”.

Mouth that combines purity and richness. I sometimes blame the blanc de blancs for being a little aggressive and monolithic, but here it is not. The juice is lively with in particular a good salinity but the wine has a good depth, with these aromas of tarte tatin and tropical fruits. It is mature and the dosage of 4.5g brings a certain comfort on a nice balance. Structured but gourmet Champagne, with a very nice finish in which salinity and pastry cream are mixed. Nice length, all in freshness.

Excellent champagne, and 2012 seems to me to be very open and accessible at the moment, the vintage gives a lot of immediate pleasure.
