A phenomenal wine, with an incredible richness on the palate. Incredibly fresh with just a slight hint of nuttiness but plenty of ripe, yellow orchard fruits. On the palate, this has incredible intensity. Chewy in its concentration and extract, but with bright acidity despite veering a touch towards brown. Holds its 13.8% incredibly well; this is the sort of wine where the alcohol actually adds weight without being a hindrance.

  • Golden aspect showing some oxidization. Flinty nose with some matchstick reduction and quince notes. Towering and statuesque. Mineral and yet surprisingly supple given the oxidized nutty flavors which blend with the apple and quince notes. Plenty of character here (13.8% alc) with a big mouthfeel. Drink or hold. An experienced blind taster thought it might be a Coulee de Serrant...
