Only 1 TN on CT? Really not that bad. Some tobacco, berries, sandy crumbly tannin. Fruit is sweet early but faint pretense of old world complexity. Tannin drives good length albeit the fruit gets dry and one dimensional.

Not bad at all for about 6 bucks. Certainly not layered or concentrated but at least it is fairly varietally correct. Nice dark purple color. Plummy nose. The entry seems a bit sweet but fortunately not cloying. A bit of menthol and lead pencil with the ripe cherry and berry flavors. Doesn't taste as manipulated as most wines in this category.
