Dark apple juice in color. Like an aged Sauternes. At first whiff, I thought it was gone. But some air brought it to life. Slight oxidization, baked apple, apricot, mineral spice, honeycomb, brewed tea. In the mouth, pretty much like the nose....the oxidization is there, but not off putting. Creamier than I thought...with a very cool, almost tannic, dusty dry spice....like dried flowers dipped in caramel. Really reminds me of a dry, aged Sauternes? Not at all gone....drinking with some interesting, and tasty, complexities. Who would have thought?
