  • From a 0.5 ha plot in Les Tilles (in Magny-les-Villiers, near Corgoloin), 15 year old vines, 100% whole bunch, 80% new oak, unfiltered, 12.5% ABV, total production 3,468 bottles and 30 magnums. "Je m'en fous du couleur" Henri Jayer famously exclaimed, and Claire Naudin seems to agree. At least, she does not add sulphur to fix the colour - only a bit at bottling. Unlike Jayer, she did not destem when making this wine, and the explosive, magical nose speaks volumes of this choice, with its aromas of ripe red cherry, coriander leaf and old rose; the palate is pure and flowing, energetic but relaxed, fresh and ripe but cool in the context of the vintage, elegant but with beautifully judged tannic grip, lovely orange flavour; slightly tight but complete finish, lovely hint of nuttiness (like a good Cognac, but without the heat), very good length. A revelation. PS: the name refers to the "discrete but delicate" field Forget-me-Not, the favourite flower of Claire Naudin's grandmother, a woman as discrete as the flower, but passionate...
