Crazy that this was $230 off their list given lowest retail price on Wine-Searcher is $450! Crisp and taut in the style of the 2016 vintage but it also showed plenty of expressive flavors with notes of dried lemons, yeasty bread and minerals. The finish has a perfect intensity and complexity and is deeply satisfying. I love Collin!
Chardonnay from the Les Pierrières plot, of 1.2 hectares in the municipality of Vert-Toulon, in the Coteaux du Morin, with calcareous soils where the "craie" is very close to the surface and where it is also mixed with flint. Base 2016. Fermentation and aging of just over a year with native yeasts in oak barrels of 3 to 6 wines. Not filtered or clarified. Subsequent aging in a bottle of about 3 years. Ripe white fruit, citrus, white flowers, mineral, brioche, energetic, spacious, elegant, silky, long and persistent. Beautiful cuvée!!! Dégorgé le: 03/2020.

Beautiful broad brioche and ginger nose.
Soft and caressing in the palate, fresh acidity on the finish, very fine mousse.
Absolutely delicious.
