Color: The color of the wine was a rich garnet color. Nose: The nose right after opening had very distinctive rich Cabernet Sauvignon smell. It had the smell of dark fuits, camphor, touch of Oak and spice. The nose became softer after decanting for 1.5 hours, but it still smelled great. Palate: I didn't taste until after the 1.5 hour decanting mark and the palate was excellent. Very good balance of dense but velvety medium to full-bodied wine. The tannins were very suttle with a nice long finish. Decanting: I let this wine decant for 1.5 hours before starting to drinkand and it really didn't change much after the initial taste. The next bottle I don't think I will decant for much past 1 hour before consuming.
I have paid more for other Cab's, that didn't make mouth and nose has happy as this one.

A nice basic Napa cab. The wine has lost some of its tannic structure and fruit balance that it had 9 months ago. Drink up. I don't think this wine is meant to last for much longer. It is certainly not getting any better.

A usual Amber Knolls, not too complex but a very good daily drinker and for $20 you can't beat it.
