Burgundy - We Love It! Tasting (Plum Market - Chicago IL): Walk around tasting, small glass. Clearly ripe, nearly tropical but with just enough acidity for balance. A hint too much oak comes through on finish. Probably best to enjoy while young, given some warmth.

Medium plus nose shows yellow apple, applesauce, toasted pear, vanilla wafer, sage, cinnamon. Palate matches with lovely layers, full body, some heat, baking spice, light spice, tropical and citrus fruit. Lovely structure and example of region. Certainly worth the $.

loads of tropical fruits, with a touch of butter. More Meursault-like than his other CM offerings, a lovely wine for the near-term.

Chassagne Montrachet Masterclass with James Handford MW (Handford Wines, London): Apple, tropical fruits on the nose. Very much the 2015 vintage, ripe but with low acidity, pleasant now but lacked presence and complexity. A touch too much apple on the nose. 88 at best

Tasting pour. Steel, chalk, mineral driven with apple and citrus. No discernible oak. Moderate acidity.
