Bottle purchased upon release and stored under temperature and humidity control. Fill as upon release or without noticeable ullage. Medium sedimentary cast on the shoulder of the bottle.
Subtle and chameleon like on the nose, this wines' aromas change with every whiff.
After you decipher the initially whirlwind changes, aromas are dominated by red fruits with some oak. There's a lot of ripe strawberry and raspberry with just a hint of reduced liqueur-isa ness that indicate some age.
Very smooth on the palate, with a lift of drying tannins and a bit more of an angular acidity than some other California Cabernet. The red fruit flavors continue to dominate and align closely with the aroma.
Is it all the way to Bordeaux style vs New World? Definitely not, but showing a nice elegance all its own.
A really enjoyable, original wine, all it's own and not trying to be Napa, Bordeaux or anything else than Livermore.
