Medium ruby colour. Red fruit, earthy notes, coffee and spices, with good acidity, stalky tannin and average length of the drying finish. Medium-bodied, with average concentration and complexity. A little more integrated and persistent on day two. Rustic and underwhelming.

PnP. Color is garnet with fuchsia at the edge. Aromas initially somewhat closed. Flavors of candied cherry, cherry, dry soil, medium to medium+ acidity with bright medium tannin lingering with some sweetness to give a mouth-drying finish. After 15-20 minutes there is some funk developing on the nose and forest leaves on the palate. At 30 minutes the wine is filling in much more and developing more savory flavors. Drinking with dinner of house red sauce with extra sautéed mushrooms over capellini with a kale salad with cheddar and toasted pumpkin seeds. The barnyard stayed with the wine during and after the dinner. Good.
