Deep purple in the glass, aromatic nose of black fruits, palate is a bit restrained with soft approachable tannins, blackberry, plum, currant, hint of vanilla and spice on a medium long finish. Nice.

Decero and Errazuriz winery visit; 1/26/2017-2/5/2017 (Argentina and Chile): 'red fruit and spiciness.' naturally high pyridines. dark red fruit aromas with concentration. aromatic pepper aromas. 'very soft tannin.' 'pepper and paprika.' with 5% Syrah. 25% New French oak for 12 months. 2015 was a warmer vintage. 2016 was a late and cool vintage. roast meat aromas, more mineral pepper than GP aromas. oak has been dialed back from 50% new 10 years ago. silky palate, nuanced spice vintage shows with lack of green. 18-20000 cases.
