Nose is strong and true to the flavors. After a few more years since last review, not much has changed. Caspers a bit, as in the ghost, disappears toward the end. Strong dark cherry, bit tannic, more spice notes than I would expect from a cab

Wonderful on the nose and up front, but quickly dies off. Mid and backend are flat. Easy drinker, but not quite as spectacular as Steven's other offerings.

This opaque ruby wine is comprised of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from three different Livermore Valley vineyards. Aged for 20 months in French oak (50% new), it delivers a gorgeous payload of black currants, dark cherries, pipe tobacco and dried herbs, framed with fresh acidity and ample fine-grained tannins. Full-bodied and without any heat from its 14.5% alcohol, it has excellent mid-palate density and closes with a lengthy, albeit grippy finish. From an esteemed appellation with an amazing history, this is a delicious Cabernet that would be priced substantially higher if it carried a Napa Valley label. I would favor cellaring this for a year or two, during which time the tannins on the finish should soften. Thereafter, it should be a delight for several years. Drink 2019-2025.

A little young and underdeveloped.

The second bottle was not nearly as impressive. More of a quaffer
