Big raspberry preserves and pomegranates, on the nose with a slight hint of tobacco and leather. Baked cherries and raspberries on the palate with very light tannins. Nicely balanced with a soft mouthfeel. Overall, one of the better wines labeled as a "red wine" I've tried. Nice value Gaja at $40 Euros in a restaurant in Monterosso, Italy.

Great little blend. Very light and fruity, strawberry/cherry core. Not a ton of depth but well polished crowd pleaser.
