  Like-new cork. Dark colour. Like a blend of nebbiolo & merlot; plush rose petal

  Such a good wine.
  This is a Covid purchase from that great Greek restaurant across from Whole Paycheck in Palo Alto.
  I bought this because I had just polished off the 2012 from my cellar and having saw it there I was thinking yum!
  And it was yum!
  I opened it there and partially consumed it with a guy who was celebrating his birthday with a pretty awesome Burgundy, which he shared with me, and I shared this with him, but the dollar value was not even close to similar, yet the tastes were on par with each other. Crazy wine world, no? How many values have we all found that when blind taste better or on par with the big dollar terroir.
  
  Anyway,
  It held mushrooms and a fantastic earthen core of purity yet a great dry fruit of rustic savory herbs.
  
  I paid $45.
  But very much overpaid.
  It was maybe better than the 2012, but both were quality that I would definitely buy again.
